The Dan Duncan Cancer Center is seeking a candidate to serve as the Medical Director of Breast Oncology, overseeing clinical operations in Breast Oncology. 

Candidate will coordinate with leaders from other specialties and drive multidisciplinary breast care, grow clinical volumes, in addition to overseeing clinical trials.

  • Reports to the Executive Medical Director of the DLDCCC.
  • Academic appointment commensurate with stage of career (subject to approval by the Tenure and Promotion Committee) at the Department of Medicine’s section of Hematology and Oncology.
  • Membership of the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead, enhance, and expand multidisciplinary breast cancer care and the clinical footprint of the LSSBC in collaboration with leaders from other specialties at the DLDCCC
  • Provide breast cancer care to patients at the DLDCCC at Baylor and Harris Health’s Smith Clinic.
  • Play a leadership role in clinical research by helping expand our clinical trial portfolio.
  • Collaborate with breast cancer scientists at BCM on clinical research projects
  • Participate in the education of trainees, and mentoring junior faculty, in collaboration with colleagues at the Section of Hematology and Oncology.
Job Qualifications:
Medical Director of Breast Oncology, LSSBC at DLDCCC:
  • Board certified medical oncologist with 7-10 years of clinical experience in breast cancer.
  • Experience in leading a clinical program.
  • Strong background in clinical research.
