Job Purpose

Postdoctoral research fellows are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional.

Job Duties

The Yong Li Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine is searching for highly motivated and talented post-doc candidates to work on Cancer Biology and Therapy. The positions will be involved in the development and application of molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to understand the mechanisms of cancer predisposition, initiation, progression, and response to treatment.
Job Duties
Perform molecular and cell biology experiments such as cloning, molecular analyses of genetic variants, site-directed mutagenesis, next generation sequencing, histology, microscopy, flow cytometry, plasmid isolation, real time RT-PCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation, transfections, Western blotting, etc.
Analyze data and prepare manuscripts and presentations at local, national, and international conferences.
Contribute as needed to the training of laboratory personnel, research technicians, clinical fellows, and graduate students.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Required: None Required.
