Job Purpose

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biology for a highly motivated, productive recent Ph.D. in molecular biology, radiation biology, and cancer biology. The goal of the project is to test the hypothesis that targeting receptor tyrosine-protein kinase (RET) proto-oncogene and/or fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) signaling will improve the efficacy of radiation therapy in the treatment of prostate cancer. The candidate will join a dynamic group focused on developing novel therapeutic approaches to the treatment of prostate cancer.

Job Duties

Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
Evaluates and analyzes data.
May establish new research protocols and procedures.
Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
May be responsible for laboratory operations.
May supervise research staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ph.D in Basic Science.


Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in cell culture, molecular biology, clonogenic assays, and in vivo mouse xenografts is preferred.
