Summary

The laboratory of Dr. Mingshan Xue (https://www.bcm.edu/research/faculty-labs/mingshan-xue-lab) in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston Texas is seeking applications for the Postdoctoral Associate position. Job Duties

  • Studies the dysfunctions of neural circuits in novel mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Leads the project and collaborates with a team of scientists within and outside of the lab.
  • Develops his/her independent research program in the general area of neural circuits and neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in neuroscience or related field is desired.
  • Strong research record in one or more of the following areas: in vivo wide-field or two-photon imaging, in vivo or slice electrophysiology, optogenetics, and animal behavior.
  • Background in physics or engineering are also encouraged to apply.
