Summary
The postdoctoral associate will design and execute experiments related to Alagille syndrome and interpret the results. He/she will be responsible for summarizing the findings in the form of presentations and manuscripts. The Postdoctoral Fellow should have expertise in mouse models of human disease, preferably liver disease, and he/she will be responsible for the proposed experiments and will assist the PI (Dr. Jafar-Nejad) in reporting the results.
Job Duties
- Designs and conducts experiments related to preclinical studies on Alagille syndrome and assists the PI in reporting the results.
- Summarizes the research findings and performs statistical analyses to determine the significance of the observations.
- Sets up new techniques and potentially establishes new disease models as well, depending on how the project proceeds.
- Communicates the results with collaborators via email exchange and virtual presentations.
- Participates in preparing grant applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or MD with evidence of expertise in using mouse models in human disease research (for example, first author papers).
