Summary
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for the biochemical and functional characterization of the specimens and all aspects of structure determination using CryoEM/ET techniques. Applicant must have a Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in protein expression and purification, enzyme kinetics, drug design, X-ray crystallography, single-particle cryoEM, and computational biology.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and based on the NIH postdoctoral stipend scale.
Job Duties
- Works for the biochemical and functional characterization of the specimens and all aspects of structure determination using either or both X-ray crystallography and CryoEM/ET techniques.
- Performs lab techniques that inclues protein expression and purification, enzyme kinetics, drug design, X-ray crystallography, single-particle cryoEM, and computational biology.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related fields.
- Experience in protein expression and purification, enzyme kinetics, drug design, X-ray crystallography, single-particle cryoEM, and computational biology.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
