Job Title:  Postdoctoral Associate- Protein engineering and High-Throughput Screening

Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The St-Pierre Lab is seeking a motivated and creative scientist or engineer to develop next-generation tools for interfacing with the brain, including genetically encoded voltage indicators (GEVIs), optogenetic silencers, and fluorescent proteins. We welcome candidates with diverse expertise, which may include:

  • Protein engineering
  • Optical system development
  • High-throughput screening
  • Electrophysiology
  • Computational approaches

Job Duties

  • Leads and contributes to research projects, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Sets up, maintains, and optimizes experimental equipment.
  • Mentors and trains lab members in techniques and experimental design.
  • Presents research findings in lab meetings and at scientific conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Publication record: At least one first-author (or co-first-author) paper published in or submitted to a high-impact, peer-reviewed English-language journal.
  • Manuscripts in preparation can be noted in your CV or cover letter.
