The Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 60 pediatric, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at Texas Children's Hospital, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), our academic home, is also home to outstanding psychology training programs at the graduate, internship, and postdoctoral levels.

Summary

The Autism Program, Psychology Division, Department of Pediatrics, BCM and the Texas Children's Hospital Psychology Division are pleased to announce the immediate availability of a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank at our Houston Medical Center Campus. Clinical experience in autism and intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities is required.

 

The psychologist in this role will provide primarily assessment-focused outpatient services for children and adolescents diagnosed with or suspected of having autism, many of whom may have co-occurring intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities. The position will be supported through a combination of operational and research funding. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an APA or CPA approved program
  • Completed an APA-accredited psychology internship
  • Licensure or license-eligibility in Texas
