The position is based in the Psychology Division of Texas Children's Hospital (TCH), which is the largest children's hospital in the United States and the primary teaching/training center for the Baylor College of Medicine's (BCM) Department of Pediatrics. TCH is one of only ten hospitals nationally designated by U.S. News and World Report for Honor Roll status in pediatrics, ranking in the top 10 for all ranked subspecialties. BCM and TCH are also nested in the heart of Houston, which was recently rated the 4th most ethnically diverse city in the United States (1st place when compared to other large cities). About the Division of Psychology:
The Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 60 pediatrics, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at Texas Children's Hospital, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. BCM, our academic home, is also home to outstanding psychology training programs at the graduate, internship, and postdoctoral levels. All BCM faculty members are expected to contribute to the College's academic and educational mission areas.

Summary
Texas Children's Hospital /Baylor College of Medicine Psychology Division is recruiting a Pain Psychologist for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank, with a clinician or clinician/educator focus. The primary focus of this position is assessment and provision of clinical services for patients with chronic pain in the outpatient setting. This position is part of an interdisciplinary team of pain specialists located at our Texas Children's Hospital West Campus in Katy, Texas.
Minimum Qualifications
- A doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a specialization in child clinical psychology
- Completed both an APA-accredited psychology internship and postdoctoral training in child clinical psychology
- Licensure or license-eligibility in Texas
Experience in interdisciplinary team settings and pain focused intervention is strongly preferred. Pain fellowship experience is preferred but not required.
