The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a qualified candidate to serve patients with voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.


The Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is located in the Jamail Specialty Care Center on the McNair Campus at Baylor College of Medicine.


We provide subspecialty care in the areas of Head and Neck Cancer, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Laryngology, Otology and Rhinology. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education, required or desired terminal degree.
    • M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D.
  • Post terminal degree education (e.g., residency, postdoctoral training/fellowships).
    • Successful completion of Otolaryngology Residency
    • Successful completion of a fellowship in Laryngology
    • Board-Eligible/Board-Certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery
  • Certifications/Registrations/Licensure required for the position.
    • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Texas Medical License
  • Previous experience (e.g., clinical, research, teaching).
    • Candidates should have strong clinical background in Otolaryngology, as well as interest in pursuing research or teaching in an academic division
  • Other desired qualifications (e.g., grants, bilingual, awards, etc.)
