Summary
The Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist to join its growing cardiovascular program. This full-time (1.0 FTE) clinical faculty position will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care across Baylor Cardiology Clinic, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and affiliated practice locations.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of non-invasive cardiology activities, including the interpretation of cardiovascular imaging studies, outpatient clinical care, inpatient cardiology responsibilities, and teaching of trainees. Clinical responsibilities are expected to include interpretation of echocardiograms, and other non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies. Experience and interest in nuclear cardiology interpretation are desirable.
Faculty members will participate in inpatient cardiovascular service activities and rounding responsibilities as needed to support the clinical mission of the Section of Cardiology. Opportunities to contribute to program development, quality initiatives, and educational activities are available.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree: M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
- Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
- ABIM board certification or board eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease
- Level II or III training in Adult Echocardiography and National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) testamur status or certification (ASCeXAM)
- Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology and/or Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology certification is desirable
Academic Rank
Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and academic achievements.
