The Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine is one of the most successful and highly funded Neuroscience departments in the country. The Neuroscience Department, including primary and affiliated faculty, is a vibrant community with strong ties to Rice University, the Neurological Research Institute (NRI), the University of Texas Health Sciences, and the University of Houston. Summary Assistant Professor Tenure Track Faculty Position in neuroscience The Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in the use of machine learning or other computational approaches applied to neuroscience. Top candidates for this position will have the motivation and interest to perform collaborative research with experimental neuroscientists to extract new insights from the large amount of multi-dimensional data that are being generating as well as motivate new experiments based on theoretical insights that test the fundamental mechanisms used by the brain to perform perception, learning and memory, motor control and cognition. We are seeking applications at the Assistant Professor Tenure Track level. While the primary focus will be on research, it is expected that faculty will participate in graduate student teaching and service on committees essential to the function of the Department and College.
