Summary
The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate with training in adult epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology, general neurology and clinical research. The successful candidate will be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement.
Job Duties
EEG interpretation, and epilepsy surgery related neurophysiology studies.
Out-patient epilepsy clinics including experience in epilepsy surgery and implantable device candidates.
Research: Opportunity to develop a clinical research program related to epilepsy.
Education responsibilities: The candidate will interact with learners at various levels from Baylor College of Medicine education programs will participate in assigned clinical activities. These will include medical students, residents and fellows. Bedside teaching activities will be embedded in clinical rounds and will be part of the overall clinical program. The successful candidate will also participate in the Department's program of seminars and lectures.
Minimum Qualifications
- The candidate must hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree
- The candidate must have successfully completed residency training in adult neurology in an ACGME-accredited program and training in epilepsy and in clinical neurophysiology in ACGME-accredited programs.
- The candidate must be board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult neurology, in epilepsy and in clinical neurophysiology.
