Summary
This position is an Instructor (non-tenure track) faculty role at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, working in Dr. Sang-Jun Han's laboratory within the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology.
The research centers on:
- Generating recombinant human endometrial cells
- Developing and studying mouse models
- Investigating the molecular causes (etiology) of endometriosis
- Publishing research findings and pursuing external grant funding
Job Duties
The successful candidate would be expected to:
- Design, conduct, troubleshoot, and optimize laboratory experiments
- Analyze experimental data and recommend protocol improvements
- Maintain accurate research records and documentation
- Prepare and perform laboratory research studies
- Develop and submit grant proposals for external funding
- Write manuscripts and publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a research team
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD required
- Strong background in biomedical research
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated potential for scholarly publication and grant development
