Summary
The Front Desk Manager will oversee and optimize front desk functions across multiple clinic locations. This role is responsible for staffing, scheduling, training, performance reviews, and ensuring a high level of patient service and operational efficiency. The Front Desk Manager will be a subject matter expert in front desk workflows and patient access systems, with strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance front-end operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing projects, including coordinating timelines and deliverables. Also proficiency in Power BI for dashboard reporting. Will be skilled in developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations, and have a strong ability to review, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making. Lastly, will be comfortable presenting findings and updates in leadership and cross-functional meetings.
Job Duties
The Front Desk Manager will uniquely impact patient experience, streamline processes, and support staff development in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Oversees recruitment, training and development processes and conducts performance reviews for front line staff.
- Balances patient volume and resources; ensures operational goals are met.
- Resolves escalated complaints; fosters a customer service–focused environment.
- Provides input to management on best practices and operational improvement.
- Partners with departmental clinic leadership to improve access and operations.
- Analyzes front desk reports; prepares operating, compliance, and productivity reports.
- Ensures timely deposits and collections.
- Works in a fast-paced environment and manages stressful situations with resourcefulness and initiative to include de-escalations and service recovery efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or four years of relevant experience to substitute for degree requirement.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ten years of relevant experience.
- Healthcare Access Manager certification (CHAM).
