Summary
The Department of Medicine Division of Cardiology is seeking an experienced Clinical Operations Manager leads the clinical operations of our Cardiology sub-specialties and inpatient cardiology services. The ideal candidate will partner with section leadership to develop and implement the overall vision for the clinics, independently manage daily operations, and utilize financial and clinical metrics to identify and address challenges.
Job Duties
- Ensures efficient daily operations for the sub-specialties of advanced heart failure, heart transplant, structural heart, electrophysiology and our inpatient services at Harris Health.
- Manages employees including defining work responsibilities and prioritization, setting performance development plans and goals, and conducting annual performance evaluations.
- Responsible for physician scheduling and schedule management using QGenda and EPIC.
- Assists in the recruitment process of advanced practice providers and clinical faculty.
- Coordinates with Transplant Coordinators and manage transplant database.
- Coordinates structural case evaluations and committee participation.
- Oversees the processes for supplemental pay requests, reimbursements, supply requests, physician bonus submissions, and other program expenses.
- Monitors budgets, financial/operational data related to all clinical programs.
- Assists with program development, network integrity, referral capture, and marketing initiatives required for successful growth of the clinical practice.
- Develops, prepares, and interprets program data to provide actionable reports for physician leadership and section administration.
- Identifies opportunities for business and clinical process improvement and manages process improvement projects.
- Develops plans for improving utilization of resources and maintaining practice efficiency while seeking to minimize operational costs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Four years of relevant experience.
