Title: Manager, Revenue Cycle
Summary
This position will be responsible for the overall billing functions of the clinic, and will manage 4 FTE. Most importantly the position will be accountable to insure the clinic system is appropriately billing payers. Will be the the primary resource to our clinic providers to not only insure reimbursements are maximized, but also be an education resource to them.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in federal, state and managed care reimbursement processing. Experience with HHSC and TMHP. Project management, change management and process improvement experience.
Prior supervisory experience, keen analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Knowledge of HIPAA and all applicable regulatory rules and regulations.
This position is located in North Houston at 8111 Lawn Street.
Job Duties
- Manages the overall billing process of the 8 clinic system, from provider documentation and coding to payer reimbursements.
- Manages the process of validating payment accuracy from payers, including State Grants.
- Serves as a resource for clinic employees/providers, and coordinates and provides education and training to insure reimbursements can be maximized. Able to recognize financial and operational areas that need improvement.
- Manages contracts and relationships with payers, including 3rd party billing aggregators for State Contracts. Will be the primary resource to react to and solve payment related issues with these entities.
- Takes initiative to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize them, communicate them and see them through to completion.
- Will have overall responsibility and accountability for the revenue cycle process of the 8 clinic system, from provider documentation and coding to payer reimbursements.
- Manages and reports on accounts receivable activity.
- Identifies lost revenue and process gaps.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in federal, state and managed care reimbursement processing.
- Experience with Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and Texas Medicare and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP).
- Project management, change management and process improvement experience.
- Prior Supervisory experience.
