Oversees the day-to-day central post-award financial management of the sponsored programs portfolio assigned to this team to ensure compliance with all external sponsors' rules and regulations and contractual obligations.  Provides oversight in the management of all Central post-award grant and contract accounting, administrative, and fiscal activities.  Works closely with pre-award central administration, academic departments, and principal investigators concerning sponsored award compliance issues.

Job Duties

  • Provides support as needed for the external audit of sponsored awards.
  • Advises policies and procedures around sponsored funds fiscal and regulatory compliance; monitors effectiveness of procedures in the College's research activities.
  • Participates in training on grants and contracts accountability regarding the impact and utilization of  external funds from federal, state, industry and private agencies.
  • Trains and supervises assigned SPF staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or equivalent
