Summary
Oversees operations and maintenance of mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems at the College's Health Science Building (HSB). Provides energy management and technical support for all facilities (Jamail, Dynamic One, HSB, McNair Clinic) on the Health Sciences Park and adjacent parcels. Interfaces with a wide range of stakeholders to make sure that all facility related needs are being met. This position is on call 24/7 as needed to support operations on holidays and during weather events. Manages Facility Services personnel working in the HSB. Responsible for managing small renovations as required. Must be available during shutdowns and on call on weekends and holidays.
Job Duties
- Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for the maintenance program of mechanical, refrigeration, energy management, and plumbing systems.
- Assigns work activities and projects to staff.
- Monitors workflow.
- Coordinates the work tracking and financial management activities with the Facilities Administrative office on the main campus.
- Reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures.
- Supervises skilled trades staff.
- May assist with specialized construction jobs as needed such as HVAC, plumbing, and architectural construction.
- Performs energy management system configuration and maintenance.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Four years of relevant experience. Degrees in lieu of experience will not be accepted.
