Summary

This position will manage the day-to-day clinical operations of our hospital based radiology services, including two large affiliation agreements that dictates the provision of clinical services at multiple sites. Build service driven partnerships with our Affiliated Hospitals to ensure that current and long-term business goals are met. Works with Medical Director to implement quality improvement and patient satisfaction programs. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in healthcare administration, working closely with physicians and hospital administrators. Support process improvement and resolve service issues. Oversee the Credentialing and On-boarding of Clinical Faculty Providers.  Manages Clinical Operations employees.

 

The Department of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine has Affiliate Partnerships where our faculty radiologist are focused on providing quality patient care, education and research at Harris Health Systems ,CHI-Baylor St. Luke's, Texas Children's Hospital and Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center all located in the Texas Medical Center. This position is located at Baylor College of Medicine's Main Campus, in the Radiology, Chair and Administration office.

Job Duties

Department liaison for Harris Health Systems, BSLMC and CHI Community Hospital services:

  • Coordinates with Affiliate Partner’s on joint service lines. 
  • Collaborates with CMO office to identify radiology Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilizes data analysis to support 90-day Performance Improvement Initiatives
  • Coordinates IT services (PACS Team) at BCM and at the Hospitals we provide services.
  • Supports Affiliate Facilities with the appropriate access to BCM PACs and other systems to support patient care      workflow.
  • Supports workforce efforts to staff all service lines.
  • Leads special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Clinical Faculty Support and Communications:

  • Communicates key issues and new initiatives to clinical faculty.
  • Manages Credentialing and on-boarding of new clinical faculty.
  • Ensures Training, Environmental Safety, HIPAA, and Billing Compliance.
  • Maintains and distributes dosimetry badges.
  • Maintains access request for QGenda, Epic and PACS systems.
  • Maintains reading rooms, and equipment/workstations.

Reporting:

  • Createa and maintaina Provider wRVU reports. 
  • Maintains cFTE reporting and rosters.
  • Develops reporting to track performance of Services, Providers and Facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Healthcare Management.
  • Experience in Radiology or other Hospital Based service.
  • Experience in process improvement and project management.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Able to coordinate work between multiple locations.
