Summary

The Children's Nutritional Research Center is  seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to assist with work order requests requiring which require a level two mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic provides the initial problem evaluation and troubleshooting for level two mechanical work orders such as installation of air handler motors and maintenance, pump rebuilds, troubleshooting faulty fluid processing equipment, trouble shooting and maintaining RO water systems.

 

Hours are 11 P.M. 7 A.M. (Graveyard shift)

Job Duties

• Operates and maintains:
    - Chilled water and steam heat, excluding generation
    - Potable water distribution and associated equipment
    - De ionized water
    - Emergency power
    - Energy Management System (EMS)
    - Other facility support systems
• Responds to and resolve EMS alarms.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and repair programs.
• Available to work other shifts as necessary.
• Provides coverage for Receiving Dock as needed.
• Use of ANSI class 75 safety shoes is required.
• Provides assistance with life safety or security situations as necessary.
• Lifts (as much as 125 lbs.) and climbing is required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of Trade School or Associate’s Degree program. 
  • Four years of related work experience.
  • Electrical and/or electronic control experience.
  • Experience at a medical or research facility.
