Title: Maintenance Apprentice
Summary
The Children's Nutritional Research Center has an opening for a Maintenance Apprentice to operate and maintain the CNRC facility and perform routine repairs and maintenance. This is a night shift position, 40-hour work week, after hours shift work (11 p.m. - 7 p.m.)
Job Duties
Operate and maintain:
- Chilled water and steam, excluding generation.
- Potable water distribution and associated equipment.
- De ionized water generation.
- Emergency power.
- Monitoring building automated system (BAS).
- All other facility support systems.
- Respond to and resolve BAS alarms.
- Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance of BAS and Control Equipment.
- Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance and repair programs.
- Assist with storm and freeze protection of the building.
- Provide assistance with life safety or security situations as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.
- Some lifting (as much as 125 lbs.), climbing, and respirator use is required.
- Use of ANSI class 75 safety shoes is required.
- Must be available to work the night shift and other shifts as necessary.
