Title: Maintenance Apprentice
Summary
The Maintenance Apprentice operate and maintain the CNRC facility, perform routine repairs and maintenance.
This is a night shift position, 40 hour work week, after hours shift work.
Job Duties
- Operate and maintain:
- Chill water and steam, excluding generation.
- Potable water distribution and associated equipment.
- Deionize water generation and Emergency power generator maintenance.
- Monitor building automated system (BAS).
- Respond to and resolve BAS alarms.
- Troubleshoot and Preventive Maintenance of BAS and Control Equipment.
- Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance and repair programs.
- Assist with storm and freeze protection of the building.
- Provide assistance with life safety or security situations as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- No experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.
- Some lifting (as much as 125 lbs.), climbing, and respirator use is required.
- Use of ANSI class 75 safety shoes is required.
- Must be available to work other shifts as necessary.
