Summary
Provides advanced administrative support and oversight for an education program, including undergraduate, graduate, residency, fellowship, clerkship, continuing medical education, or other College-affiliated education programs.
Job Duties
- Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations of an education program.
- Supports achievement of strategic goals through the design, implementation and evaluation educational plans.
- Oversees the trainee recruitment process and onboarding of new trainees.
- Monitors and audits program activities to ensure compliance with applicable accrediting agency.
- Creates, monitors, and tracks documentation of training and educational activities; may assist with grade or evaluation collection and submission.
- Serves as a liaison for the education program with Undergraduate Medical Education (UME)/Graduate Medical Education (GME)/the Graduate School for Biomedical Sciences/the School of Health Professions/Student Affairs, internal departments, applicable external agencies, or trainees.
- Schedules or coordinates lectures, evaluations, meetings, rounds, exams, seminars, training rotations, electives or special electives, duty/call schedules, ceremonies, or events.
- Provides administrative support for the program director and assistant program director; including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and updating education materials.
- Gathers and analyzes data including preparing reports.
- May assist with program budget planning and monitoring.
- May maintain and develop policies and procedures within the department.
- Provides assistance and training to lower level employees.
- Delegates tasks to others and is responsible for review of work.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; four years of relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
