This position will be responsible for planning, supervising and conducting complex audits and special projects, including information technology and security related reviews.  Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of technology and functional controls.  Determines whether organizational units are performing their duties in compliance with management instructions and BCM guidelines. 

Job Purpose

Leads the planning, performance, reporting and follow up of internal audits related to information system controls and other assigned projects and tasks.

Job Duties

•    Plans, supervises, and executes a range of internal audits and special reviews, including functional/process, IT general controls, application-specific and security reviews.  
•    Participates in College-wide technology initiatives and provides consulting advice regarding technology implementations, including user access, segregation of duties and other considerations. 
•    Builds on the data analytics internal audit program, leveraging available analytics and visualization tools. 
•    Teams with other internal audit team members to provide technology and application specific analysis as part of integrated audit projects. 
•    Reports audit findings in writing and makes recommendations based on these findings.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in IT, Accounting or related field and five years of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Healthcare or Academic experience.
  • Experience with privacy and network security regulations and controls.
  • Basic knowledge of internal control concepts and ITGCs.
  • Ability to develop and leverage data analytics and visualizations, a plus.
  • SAP and Epic experience, a plus.
  • CISA, CPA, CIA or other relevant certification required.
