This is a newly created position within the Office of Human Resources responsible for leading key Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout Baylor College of Medicine to facilitate an engaging workplace experience.


This position will be eligible to work a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Duties

  • Partners with the College’s DEI team and collaborates with all stakeholders to design and embed structural inclusion into processes and policies aimed at improving recruitment, development, succession, and retention of a diverse workforce.
  • Builds and operationalizes end-to-end DEI focused talent lifecycle and HR processes across the enterprise.
  • Develops change management plans and supporting tools to ensure effective execution and adoption of DEI leading practices.
  • Establishes and maintains key metrics to track the effectiveness of processes and programs.
  • Develops project plans and tracks milestones required to achieve both short and long-term DEI priorities.
  • Leads the recommendation and implementation of technology enhancements to integrate DEI into HR processes and systems.
  • Consults with HR Business Partners on end-to-end solutions with minimal guidance. 
  • Provides support to DEI Office on various special initiatives and events.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Six years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Human Resources and/or DEI-related certifications.
  • Experience in academia and/or healthcare.
