Summary
Lab is seeking a Laboratory Technician I position to support the laboratory work activiites in pathology & immunology department under the supervision of faculty.
Job Duties
- Fulfills laboratory duties while supporting the work of technicians and scientists in a laboratory.
- Learns standard operating procedures for analyzing data.
- Learns how to use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks.
- Assists with computational, informatics, artificial intelligence workflow processes.
- Completes meaningful independent projects in assigned area of laboratory.
- Works under direct supervision and performs general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Performs all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit specimens.
- Supports the lab by performing data entry, loading instruments, performing maintenance on all types of equipment, gathering supplies for testing.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties for your supervisor.
- Contributes to a cohesive team environment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Has STEM coursework and lab experience.
- Has strong interest and enthusiasm for scientific inquiry and biology specifically.
- Has familiarity with coding and computational methods for data analysis.
- Has proficiency in MS Office.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills.
- Be able to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Has fluency in English.
