Summary

Lab is seeking a Laboratory Technician I position to support the laboratory work activiites in pathology & immunology department under the supervision of faculty.

Job Duties

  • Fulfills laboratory duties while supporting the work of technicians and scientists in a laboratory.
  • Learns standard operating procedures for analyzing data.
  • Learns how to use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks.
  • Assists with computational, informatics, artificial intelligence workflow processes.
  • Completes meaningful independent projects in assigned area of laboratory.
  • Works under direct supervision and performs general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Performs all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit specimens.
  • Supports the lab by performing data entry, loading instruments, performing maintenance on all types of equipment, gathering supplies for testing.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties for your supervisor.
  • Contributes to a cohesive team environment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has STEM coursework and lab experience.
  • Has strong interest and enthusiasm for scientific inquiry and biology specifically.
  • Has familiarity with coding and computational methods for data analysis.
  • Has proficiency in MS Office.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Has fluency in English.
