Job Title:  Intern/Aide - Urology (Part-time)
Division:  Urology

Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Intern Aide will support clinical research activities within the field of Urology, with a strong emphasis on Sexual Medicine and Andrology. This role is designed to provide hands-on training in clinical research, including the development and management of prospective investigations, scientific writing, and presentation of findings. The intern will gain practical experience creating abstracts and manuscripts for submission to national conferences and peer‑reviewed urological journals, while also developing a deeper understanding of urological conditions and academic research processes.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.  

Job Duties

  • Assist with the creation, troubleshooting, and management of prospective clinical research studies
  • Support the development of abstracts for submission to national scientific conferences
  • Draft, edit, and prepare scientific manuscripts for publication in urological journals
  • Participate in monthly research meetings and contribute to research discussions
  • Present research findings at national conferences
  • Mentor and assist medical students with ongoing research projects
  • Contribute to general clinical research activities under faculty supervision
  • May assists with special projects/programs. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of 2–3 years of medical education
  • Some experience or coursework related to scientific or medical writing
  • Strong interest in Sexual Medicine and Andrology
  • Interest in pursuing a future Urological Residency
  • Familiarity with or interest in clinical research methods and academic publishing
