Summary
As a Summer 2026 Intern/Aide at Baylor College of Medicine, you will gain hands-on experience in cancer research with a focus on computational and data-driven approaches. Key responsibilities and learning objectives include:
- Developing foundational knowledge in cancer genomics and other omics data (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics).
- Learning to conduct integrative cancer data analysis using the R programming language.
- Applying statistical analysis techniques and building machine learning models to explore and interpret complex biological datasets.
- Creating clear and insightful data visualizations using ggplot2 in R to communicate findings effectively.
This experience will provide practical exposure to bioinformatics, biostatistics, and data science applications in cancer research.
