Job Title:  Intern/Aide
Division:  Molecular and Human Genetics
Work Arrangement:  Onsite only
Location:  Houston, TX
Salary Range:  Hiring up to $15/hour
FLSA Status:  Nonexempt
Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Summary

The intern will be trained in how to assemble and program microclimate sensors, benchmark them relative to commercial weather stations, and optimize the microclimate sensors for optimal performance and longevity.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.  

Job Duties

  • Activities include entry level electrical engineering, programming, working with AWS, and 3D printing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
