Summary
We are seeking a summer intern for our Molecular and Human Genetics Department. Interns will receive training in cell culture, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and molecular biology techniques and perform cell culture experiments to measure the response of neurons and glia to inflammatory cytokines. Interns will also perform microscopy to assess neuron and glia morphology in retinal tissue and cell culture and perform RNA sequencing on retinal cells treated with inflammatory cytokines.

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
