Summary

The Intern/Aide will assist with acute leukemia research.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.  

Job Duties

• Conducts bench research under supervision of Research Technicians in the Stevens/Redell lab with AML cell lines and possibly patient samples depending on proficiency with cell lines.
• Assists with maintenance of the immunodeficient mouse colony.
• Assists with harvesting and banking tissue from the patient derived xenograft models.
• Assists with meticulous record keeping, writing up, and presentation of results.
• Assists any other research-related activities, as needed 

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
