Summary
Intern/Aide will receive training in health communication theories and research approaches. This includes training in experimental design, protocol execution, and community engaged research. This is a part-time position, 10 hours/week. Has the flexibility to work after school hours or on weekends.
Job Duties
- Designs well-formulated hypothesis.
- Learns key research protocols.
- Learns how to recruit participants to co-create print ads/videos on health promotion.
- Learns how to analyze graph and present health communication data.
- Works with print ad and video companies to produce marketing materials and public service announcements (PSA).
- Works on getting in practical experience in health communications research, recruiting participants, administering surveys, assisting with focus groups, and analyzing, writing, and presenting health communication research.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.

- Has strong organizational skills.
- Be able to work independently and proactively.
- Be able to meet project deadlines.
- Be proactive in following up on action items.
- Has excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Has fluency in English.
