Salary Range:  Up to $14 per hour
FLSA Status:  Nonexempt
Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The CTPH (Consortium for Translational and Precision Health) is currently seeking a summer intern who will benefit from learning about various aspects of clinical and translational research, gaining hands-on research experience, and developing essential research skills. Specific learning objectives should align with the intern's background and the internship's focus, but some general objectives could include understanding the different stages of translational research, learning research methodologies, developing communication skills, and contributing to a research project. 

Job Duties

  • Prepares and organizes study protocols, consent forms, and other relevant documents.
  • Works on specific research projects, shadows researchers, and gains hands-on experience in clinical and translational research.
  • Enters and maintains data in electronic databases or spreadsheets.  
  • Participates in research team meetings, presents findings, and develops written reports or presentations.
  • Assists with literature reviews and identifying relevant publications. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in epidemiology,  population health, biomedical research, data analysis, and technical skills development.
