Summary
Opportunities to observe the department's Industrial-Organizational (I-O) psychologists work and the application of I-O psychology knowledge in an applied setting (academic healthcare). Exposure to relevant project management processes, tools, and standards for I-O Psychology work. Opportunities to sort, clean, analyze, and double-check data (in partnership with a practicing consultant) related to I-O psychology projects.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Coordinates with the department's Industrial-Organizational psychologists to complete supervised taskwork related to managing projects within the department related to various I-O psychology topics such as employee selection, retention, executive coaching, training/ talent development, organizational development, team building, etc.).
- Writes and presents reports/ briefs summarizing relevant research and best practices in these areas as needed.
- Assists in the cleaning, sorting, analyzing, and verification of data in cooperation with the department's I-O psychologists as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
