Summary
The intern will receive training in laboratory research methods and how to conduct public health research.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Receives, processes and extracts DNA from sample.
- Conducts PCR testing to determine if parasites are present.
- Analyzes data.
- Writes a manuscript from findings describing how it fits in the public health world.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
