Summary

The Marketing Intern Aide will support strategic marketing, communications, and research promotion efforts for Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, public relations, social media, and digital communications within one of the nation’s leading pediatric hematology/oncology centers. The intern will collaborate closely with marketing, web, and public relations teams to help showcase world-class research and patient care through data analysis, content creation, website management, and multimedia storytelling.

Job Duties

  • Gather, compile, and analyze research activity data on a daily basis
  • Assist with the development of research activity reports
  • Support management and updates of researcher profiles on the website
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations, and Web teams on strategic research communications
  • Attend in-person photography and video shoots highlighting research programs and awareness initiatives
  • Edit and compile videos, photographs, and written content for website, physician marketing, and social media channels
  • Assist with website content management and social media workflows
  • Work closely with leadership, faculty, trainees, and staff to advance strategic research goals
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings, including weekly website meetings and monthly marketing/PR meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in marketing, public relations, communications, or healthcare-related fields
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite (photo and video editing tools)
  • Experience or interest in social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Interest in pediatric healthcare, research, or academic medical environments
  • Basic familiarity with data analysis, website content management systems (e.g., Drupal), or Excel preferred
