Summary

The Marketing Intern Aide supports strategic communications and research promotion efforts within Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center. This paid summer internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, public relations, digital communications, and research data analysis at one of the nation’s largest pediatric hematology/oncology centers. The intern will collaborate with marketing, PR, web, and leadership teams to develop high-quality content and communications that highlight world-class research, faculty, and clinical programs while gaining practical experience with industry-standard tools and platforms.

Job Duties

  • Gather, compile, and analyze research activity data on a daily basis
  • Assist with the development of research activity reports
  • Support management and updates of researcher profiles on the website
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations, and Web teams on strategic communications initiatives
  • Attend and support in-person photography and video shoots highlighting research programs and awareness campaigns
  • Edit and compile photos, videos, and written content for use on websites, physician marketing, and social media channels
  • Participate in website management and social media content workflows
  • Work closely with leadership, faculty, staff, and trainees to advance strategic research communication goals
  • Attend scheduled meetings, including weekly website meetings and monthly marketing/PR meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, or healthcare-related fields
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite tools
  • Experience or interest in photography, videography, and content editing
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects
  • Interest in pediatric healthcare, research, or academic medical environments
