Summary
The Administrative Intern Aide will support the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center by assisting with administrative and project-based initiatives that advance departmental and strategic goals. This paid summer internship offers hands-on professional experience in healthcare administration, including exposure to regulatory affairs, data analysis and project management. The intern will work closely with leadership, staff, trainees, and faculty while gaining foundational skills in workflow analysis, documentation, and regulatory research administration within a pediatric healthcare environment.
Job Duties
- Gather, compile, and analyze administrative workflows.
- Conduct data mining and basic data analysis to support departmental projects and initiatives.
- Assist with writing, editing, and maintaining administrative and procedural documentation.
- Support project management activities, including tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center leadership, staff, trainees, and faculty to advance strategic and operational goals.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled administrative team meetings.
- Provide general administrative support as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school, undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program (degree discipline flexible).
- Interest in regulatory affairs in clinical research.
- Interest in pediatric healthcare, pediatric hematology/oncology, or healthcare administration.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to write clearly and edit documents effectively.
- Interest in learning data analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Work Authorization Requirement:
