Summary

The Instructor - Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a large, multi-center consortium research program. This role ensures effective coordination across all participating sites, maintains high-quality research standards, and supports the successful execution of program deliverables.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of a multi-site consortium research program to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Directly supervise research staff, including multiple research coordinators and a regulatory specialist, providing guidance, performance oversight, and professional development.
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across all site team members to maintain consistent communication, efficiency, and high levels of program functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator through regular communication to ensure seamless progress and alignment with scientific and operational objectives.
  • Organize, lead, and participate in local research team meetings to ensure effective coordination and issue resolution.
  • Attend consortium-wide meetings (virtual and in-person) and provide comprehensive updates and feedback to the Principal Investigator to support program integration.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges related to scheduling, protocol execution, and research procedures.
  • Ensure the collection, quality, and timely submission of research data in compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with all training requirements, ensuring all team members maintain current and required research certifications.

 

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, or equivalent) or relevant experience in research program management.
  • Experience managing multi-site or consortium-based research programs preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical research operations.
