The qualified candidate will have interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, demonstrate financial reporting skills, experience in analyzing data, and problem-solving skills. The position will provide financial assistant to an average of 11 organizational units including 100 + employees. The position will primarily be involved with managing the finances related to the clinician based portfolio of genetics. This involves analyzing current and past financial data and performance, preparing reports and projections based on this analysis, evaluating data and explore optimal resolutions.

Job Duties

  • Analyzes and forecasts grant accounts, monitors fiscal year expenses, reviews/audits transactions according to college and grant guidelines, examines and identifies any variance in budget. 45%
  • Reviews/approves/rejects Concur transactions, SRM shopping carts, and SAP documents. 35%
  • Updates cost distributions in PEPT, submits cost transfers in SAP, submits requests for payroll cost transfers. 15%
  • Monitors the MHG Finance email alias. Reviews position utility form for new hires through SharePoint.
  • Provides annual assistance during budget for assigned organizational units. 5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use Excel (pivot table, charts/graphs) to analyze financial data, and to forecast accounts as required. 
  • Three years of relevant experience.
