Job Purpose

The Executive Director organizes the programmatic development of multimodal initiatives that support various delivery modes of educational experiences in a variety of settings, including online, synchronous distance education, hybrid or blended experiences, competency-based and face-to-face.

Job Responsibilities
  • Works collaboratively with educational leaders to create strategies, direction, and goals for multimodal and blended learning initiatives.
  • Works across functional areas to leverage resources to implement strategic goals.
  • Fosters a vision and current knowledge of teaching excellence grounded in educational research and expertise.
  • Analyzes data related to retention, success rates, student progression, and institutional surveys in order to identify areas of improvement for quality assurance of online learning.
  • Participates with senior leaderships to establish strategic plans and objectives, and cultivate support for the scholarship of teaching and learning.
  • Maintains relationships with district, state, and national peers to share resources and best practices.
  • Consults, trains, and serves as a resource person to the faculty, in the design, development, evaluation and revision of teaching, learning, programs, curricula, and assessment needs.
  • Assists in faculty and staff development on instructional applications of technologies and instructional methods.
  • Facilitates the implementation of instructional innovations.
  • Identifys, communicate and promote best practices for applying innovative and effective teaching and learning theories and instructional technologies through faculty learning communities.
  • Provides one-on-one assistance to faculty in the design, development, and delivery of engaging, interactive and instructionally-sound materials and activities that address various learning preferences and are accessible to all students including those with disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Doctoral degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field.
  • Required: Ten years of relevant experience.
