Summary
The Exchange Visitor will receive trainings in further advancing molecular and cancer biology techniques, such as molecular cloning, western blotting, cell-based assays, and animal works, etc. She/He will also learn more on experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation relevant to cancer biology research.
Job Duties
- Works independently and collaboratively to carry out assigned research projects.
- Gains additional knowledge in the related field/literatures.
- Designs the experiments.
- Collects and analyzes experimental data.
- Reports to the PI weekly, and prepares manuscripts under the guidance of the PI.
- Shares routine lab duties such as organizing common lab supplies/reagents, preparing buffers, and autoclave, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Exchange Visitor Visa (J1).
- Alien with a residence in a foreign country whose intent is to return to their home country.
- Selected by exchange visitor program sponsor to participate in the exchange visitor program.
- Intent is to pursue appropriate activity.
- Must have sufficient funding and appropriate background for program activity.
- Must meet minimum objective measurement requirements set by Baylor College of Medicine establishing English proficiency.
