Title:  Emergency Medicine (Instructor)

Summary

To provide per diem coverage for patient care in the BSLMC McNair Campus Emergency Department (ED). The McNair ED is a four-bed facility with very manageable volumes (less than 5000 annual visits) for a single coverage physician. 24-hour shifts are available if requested. Locker rooms, showers, and sleep facilities are also on site.

Job Duties

The physician is expected to demonstrate competency in following areas:

• Renewing and meeting all required licenses and certification requirements.
• Proficiency with EPIC- electronic medical records and document all patient encounters as needed.
• Complete all documentation in a timely manner so that billing and other administrative tasks can happen smoothly to ensure a robust operational system.
• Maintaining credentialing at all times to ensure practice is not disrupted.

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. and licensed by the Texas Medical Board
• Graduated from an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
