Summary

The Director of Corporate Alliance reports directly to Assistant Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Alumni Affairs. Assists leadership with building corporate alliance, fulfillment and stewardship efforts within Baylor College of Medicine’s corporate alliance function. Leads efforts to raise fundraising revenue focused on corporate alliance and retention, brand awareness development, and expands fundraising programs outside of the College’s geographic area.

Job Duties

  • Designs, implements, and manages development plans focused on enhancing corporate and foundation relationships by directing and coordinating activities related to obtaining corporate monetary support.
  • Develop, design, implement and track cause marketing/corporate social responsibility fundraising partnerships with local and national company's utilizing a creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Develops highly competitive proposals for corporate prospects and leverages diverse corporate goals and preferences that align with university goals.
  • Oversees efforts to reach out to all levels of staff and executives of big corporations; accomplishes interactions through effective verbal and written communication as well as through personal visits. 
  • Maintains a rigorous schedule of contacts with corporate representatives, creating moves management plans related to them, compelling presentations and comprehensive fundraising proposals.
  • Raises fundraising revenue with a strong emphasis on corporate partner acquisition and retention, brand awareness development regionally and nationally, and expand fundraising campaigns and programs outside of the institution’s traditional geographic area.
  • Identifies emerging business leadership and industry trends with a special emphasis on developing high value-exchange corporate partnerships and identify, evaluate, cultivate and solicit principal gifts to support the mission and goals of the College.
  • Advises faculty, administrators, and staff on corporate areas of interest, as well as on cultivation of corporate special requirements in the development and presentation of proposals.
  • Interacts externally with volunteers, prospects, agencies, and partners to include contact from entry-level staff positions to the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. Accomplishes interactions through effective telephone conversations, written correspondence and personal visits.
  • Prospects key corporations and reviews corporate profiles that suggest potential relationships due to passion points or corporate giving interests.
  • Maintains high quality stewardship process for active corporate prospects and donors. Ensures that stewardship and reporting requirements are met to sustain successful partnerships by maintaining detailed records of solicitation activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Public Relations, or other related field of study
  • Advancement in corporate relationship development, fulfillment and stewardship efforts within Baylor College of Medicine’s rapidly expanding national and international Corporate Partnership function
  • Experience with developing cause marketing/corporate social responsibility fundraising partnerships
