Responsible for working with the BCM Chief of Staff at Harris Health Systems to monitor provider productivity by provider as well as section/department.
Provides technical support to departments for BCM generated reports in multiple BCM systems to support the BCM HHS systems.  Monitors department performance against benchmarks through BCM generated reports.


This position supports the BCM Chief of Staff at HHS and the BCM faculty and residents that provide medical services at Ben Taub Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, Quentin Mease Hospital, and multiple outlying primary and specialty clinic locations within the Harris Health Systems.


This position may be eligible for a performance based bonus.

Job Duties

  • Serves as proxy for the BCM Chief of Staff in various meetings and work groups within BCM and the HHS.
  • Provides support through provider education and opportunity through coding/documentation education.
  • Serves as the main liaison with the BCM Patient Billing Services and the HHS Revenue Cycle and IT departments.
  • Supports the BCM HHS practice that works collaboratively with HHS and BCM IT services on process reviews, interface issues, and coding profiles to support the BCM COS college goals.
  • Provides direction and supervision of the BCM Harris Health Systems team that supports 20 Academic departments, their respective Chiefs of Service, administrators and faculty in over 40 BCM Specialties/sub-specialties and their residency progrmas providing medical services at HHS.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Eleven years of directly related experience with four years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience presenting complex information in an organized fashion in both verbal and written form.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the revenue cycle and coding as well as the ability to interpret programming logic associated with HL7 interface activity.
  • Experience performing complex reconciliations.
  • Experience recognizing and understand compliance issues.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
