Job Duties
- Handles and maintains flow of material and products according to established guidelines.
- Coordinates and delivers freight, equipment, and furniture to Baylor departments and other TMC locations.
- Provides assistance to internal and external customers with item orders.
- Provides first level guidance to Assistant Coordinators.
- Serves the Materials Management Supervisor and Leads with implementing all shipment, storage, and delivery regulations and college procedures, including recording activities in both written and digital format.
- Maintains inventory of products and packages with a focus on documentation as required by Federal, State, and Local regulations, and in strict compliance with college policies.
- Assists with vehicle maintenance.
- Drives to different destinations to pick up or deliver packages with a focus on documenting and reporting to the Materials Management leadership team.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of related experience.
- Valid Texas Driver's License; clean driving record; three years of driving history in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume Receiving environment with focus on Problem Solving and Accountability.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, storing, and delivering perishable items, research animals, and other potentially infections materials (OPIM).
- Requires basic knowledge of operational, functional, and/or business systems and practices, typically obtained through on-the-job learning, education, or vocational training.
