Summary

The Department of Pathology & Immunology and Molecular & Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine, in partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital, is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to support our research faculty and teams. The Coordinator, Business Operations plays a key role in supporting day-to-day administrative operations, coordinating calendars and meetings, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with a variety of operational tasks. This position helps ensure a smooth workflow across research programs and contributes to keeping teams organized, efficient, and productive.

Job Duties

• Provides general administrative and operational support to Faculty and Staff. 
• Manages calendars and schedule meetings, including coordinating logistics and preparing materials. 
• Monitors and reconciles departmental and faculty accounts to track expenses accurately. 
• Processes travel requests, expense reports, and financial transactions in accordance with institutional guidelines.
• Submits and track purchase orders in Jaggaer to ensure timely procurement .
• Assists with special projects, tracking tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
• Maintains accurate and organized records and documentation.
• Serves as a point of contact for routine questions and communications.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Jaggaer and Concur.
