Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine is currently seeking a highly motivated and competent professional to work as a Senior Coordinator in a team-based clinical office setting. The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide administrative support to clinical faculty and operations. This administrative support includes credentialing, faculty recruiting, onboarding, assistance with travel and expense reporting, and other academic functions. Additionally, this position requires the coordination of daily schedule activities, phone assignments, routing of calls, information gathering and distribution. The ideal candidate for this role must possess excellent team-working skills and be willing to assist team members when required.
This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after an initial training period.
Job Duties
The role involves performing advanced administrative and coordination duties to ensure the smooth functioning of
clinical office operations and to achieve the department's clinical, education, and research goals.
Administrative Coordination and Support:
- Makes Travel Arrangements, Travel / Expense Reporting in Concur.
- Maintains CME / CEU Balances.
- Answers the main clinical department phone line, screen and take calls, route messages, and maintain appropriate contact lists; coordinates faculty calendars with other Coordinators in the department and with affiliated hospital coordinators.
- Obtains necessary signatures on vital documents and deliver them to appropriate personnel.
- Files, faxes, types correspondence for faculty, checks the mail at BTGH.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Credentialing Support:
- Provides credentialing support for new faculty providers and locum tenens / temporary providers.
- Coordinate, monitor, and maintain up-to-date re-credentialing and re-appointments for the assigned faculty in the department.
- Coordinate with internal and external staff in resolving credentialing issues that may arise.
- Performs any other credentialing support tasks as needed or assigned.
Faculty Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assisst in the coordination of new department and divisional medical staff recruitment.
- Coordinates appointments for interviewees with interviewing faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Communications and writing experience.
Work Authorization Requirement:
